A Summer Post
Hello, my pointless, lame, totally ridiculous blog! Well, its the summer now, and I am hanging cool in Hawaii. Loser blog, you thought that you would shackle me forever in Mr. Whittaker's Computer Programming I Class, didn't you? Well......YOU WERE WRONG!!!!! Muahahahaha!! Fool, dost thou think that I am limited to the puny school year? I am not a slave to the demands of the computer.......for as of now, I am as free as a bird in..........I dunno, Costa Rica? Well, the point is, after a semester of torture, I am freeeeeeeeee! Hahahahaha, I beat you! And, I bet didn't fail the class. Haha, GOTCHA THERE! You LOST! Loser. :P . Yeah, I know this is disturbing, me writing a post on my blog TO my blog.......but hey, i had to put up with the most pointless class ever. I'm entitled to a bit of a party....... :) . Cya later, you blasted blog...... :P .

#world[10]
Yeah, that speaks for my progress. I'm supposed to be farther I guess, but its not very realistic. Well, I hope that i get farther later. Anyway, i REALLLLLY need to have a working class enemies.

The Forging of a World
Hahahaha! I'm doing it! I'm making my game. Well, not much to report. I'm up to the first "Outside". And I'm still modifying the inside of the house. So yeah. Well, at least it's progress.
Thursday, April 24, 2008
Wheeee......
Uh-oh. We're going to be assigned into groups for a project thing. Unless we want to work alone. The only way groups can possibly help me is if i get paired with a really smart person who is willing to do my bidding.....muahahaha! Kidding. But seriously, i think i'll blunder thru it on my own.
What should i name my game.....?
Ok, well, its a g in the hood. Sorta. I changed Mr. Whittaker's code, which is the beginning of my assignment. I have to get a storyline and plot for the game, not to mention the commands and everything....

Programming my adventure
Hello again. Well, i think that this game stuff will be fun, but hard. I don't really understand all the terminology. Which sucks. Oh well, I'll get it down. At least i can have an interesting story line.

Old Maid.....
Groagh!!! I really don't like programming card games. Playing them is fun. Programming them is not.
Thursday, April 17, 2008
Friday! Finally.....
Yes! It's Friday again! At last. I can't wait to go down and get a hot Milo. I've got to do Bio homework, and then.....i'll decide whether i can afford to go to Carls Jr. with the class. Hmmmm......i could do that, and then work a lot on Saturday. Ok. Well, we're making a OldMaidGame program. I don't even like old maid that much......
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
Shuffling....
Ok, we're programming a function to shuffle a deck of cards..........(12 minutes later) Alright, I got the programming typed out and everything. Not that i really understand HOW it works, but oh well. Haha, added my new background today.

Cards....
Hello my fabulously, awesomely, staggeringly boring blog. We're doing card games.....programming them that is.
Monday, April 14, 2008
Tired....
I don't like my glasses.....I've had them for about four to five years now. The lenses are kind of scratched, and I don't really like the shape either. They don't fit well either. But back to school. I actually remembered the integer division thing from the start of Python, so that's worth noting.
Monday.......ugh
Well, its a Monday......unfortunately. Ok, Tyson and Yohan are fighting.....HaJin is typing.....so is Terry.....Mr. Whittaker is helping Garrett. And im posting a post.

Project
This is very possibly going to take my Programming grade, and, by extension, my GPA down the toilet. I wish i didn't need to take a computer credit....
Tuesday, April 8, 2008
Clueless
Yup, that's me in a word. As far as 7th period goes. Well, yohan won't help me, and i think mr. Whittaker expects me to solve it on my own. I'm pretty sure there's a greater chance of me accelerating to light speed by flapping my arms. Yeah. Ok, its almost 3:05.....gtg.

Rubbish.py
Today.....was another day. Yay! Well, its only 2:50, but that's close enough to post time. Ugh....learned about tuples and other complicated stuff......
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Blah.....
Have i made a post w/ this title before? Seems familiar. Oh well, that's the general feeling in this class. Sheez, i dont understand anything. Well, i know where i've seen THAT. We're gonna have a final project, whatever that is.....help me almighty God......blah.

Feed Me
Hello, O boring blog of mine. Well, i still don't have the foggiest about this class......oh well, that'll clear up.....eventually.
Twenty Dollars
Hi. Today, i made a crazy bet with yohan. It's about the stupidest, randomest stuff, but it's escalated into a huge argument. All about a bet on pokemon. Ridiculous. And even now, he's asking for 20 bucks. And making the lamest faces. Oh well, i'll get him to see my side of the pancake! Oh, right, class. Well, I learned about alias and cloning.

Chapter Nine
Hello, my awesomely boring blog. I noticed this a while ago, but this blog has gotta be the most bland blog on the internet. I learned something....i just don't know what.
Blah....
Hello again. Well, it was another day. Again. And tomorrow will be another day. I wish I would actually get something in this class.

Brain==Mush
Ok....i think the post title explains it all. I don't get any of this stuff. Some of it I understand. Most I don't. I REALLY hope that this gets clearer, because right now, it's like a whirlpool in a mud puddle.
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Finished...
Haha, I finished chapter 7 exercises.....awesome me. Its soooooo hard to understand. Oh well, spring break is in about 10 minutes, so its all cool.
Monday, March 17, 2008
Post 40
Hello. Ok, since this is my 4oth post with a boring title, I'm going to officially change them to random things. Not orderly, admittedly, but fun. Well, I understand SOME stuff....its just not a lot of stuff.....
Sunday, March 16, 2008
Post 39
Hey, I did better today. I actually got something. Knowing my luck, it won't last, tho. Anyway, its a blessing.

Post 36
Today was a day. Bet you didn't know that. We're on chapter 7 now. Its about strings. I should have know that there was SOMETHING even more confusing.
Monday, March 10, 2008
Post 35
Ok, today was just as boring and pointless. I learned a bit, but not a lot. I think I'm not cut out for this stuff.
Sunday, March 9, 2008
Post 34
Ok, today was confusing. I didn't really understand the stuff. Again. Sheez, that's how things are. Anyways, I hope I'm subconsciously learning something, because nothing is being learned consciously.
Thursday, March 6, 2008
Post 33
Hi, its me again. Well, come to think of it, who else could it be? Oh well, today we have to do chapter 6 exercises....just like vegetables, its good for you, but its not-so-good.
Wednesday, March 5, 2008
Post 32
Alright, I admit it, I know SOMETHING. A very small something, but I do. Anyway, its getting more stressful as we learn more stuff. It should be getting easier, because I'm learning more stuff to help me out.
Tuesday, March 4, 2008
Post 32
Today, it was a boring day...I still don't know what's going on really. I'm clueless in this class. Oh well, its not THAT bad.
Monday, March 3, 2008
Post 31
Today....was a still day. I shortened my functions and stuff. I really don't get how other people just know how to shorten their codes.
Sunday, March 2, 2008
Post 30
Ok, today was fine, but I didn't really get much done. It was ok though. I'm about two problems away from being done, so that's good. Gosh, I really don't know ANYTHING!
Wednesday, February 27, 2008
Tuesday, February 26, 2008
Post 28
Yay! We didn't have to do anything today! All we did was listen to a lecture, which is fine by me. I'm still lost, but at least I can get people to help me. Like I know if something is a parameter, but I don't know what a parameter IS. Yeah, lame, I know. But anyway, things are in an uneasy balance.
Monday, February 25, 2008
Post 27
Well, today was marginally better. Mr. Whittaker had to explain just about everything to me. Haha, that reminds me of when it took me half the year to learn the FOIL method in Algebra I. Oh well, I know it now. Anyways, the GASP stuff is fun, but I'm not sure of how to do a lot of stuff on my own. When I find out how to do it, it seems really obvious, but before that, I don't have the slightest idea how to figure stuff out. :(
Sunday, February 24, 2008
Post 26
Argh....I didn't really do too well today either. I feel like I'm going to fall asleep in my chair. That's not good. And the GASP thing is confusing. I don't really understand what I'm doing...
Thursday, February 21, 2008
Post 25
Today I kinda failed my quiz, which really sucks. But I thought that the % means is there are remainder other than 0. Oh well. And the truth_table thing has me stuck, but I'm almost done.
Wednesday, February 20, 2008
Post 24
Just realized my post titles are really boring, but at least I don't have to waste time thinking about them. I finished my Gasp drawing today, but its not all that artistic. Its just the mickey mouse sign in red, and a line underneath it. Kinda random, but at least its something.
Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Post 23
We worked more on our number identifier more today. I am still a bit uncertain about this stuff in general, but it gets better as it goes.
Monday, February 18, 2008
Post 22
Finally! Something I understand! I found the program where we had to identify numbers pretty fun. And i understood it. So that's a blessing. Thank goodness for little mercies.
Sunday, February 17, 2008
Post 21
Today I learned about cat_n_times and other functions stuff. Its still confusing, but that's the norm with me these days. Anyway, at least I learned something today.
Thursday, February 14, 2008
Post 20
I've now started the Third Chapter of "How To Think Like A Computer Scientist". I don't have the foggiest idea what it's all about, but then again I'm like the newb of the class. So don't make fun of my lack of skills.
Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Post 19
The Madlib assignment is very fun, and I've learned more about how to write programs using strings. Like GvR, you just need to be careful. I still think it is tedious, but at least I am understanding it now.
Tuesday, February 12, 2008
Post 18
The things about Python GUI are still confusing, but its getting better slowly. I still don't quite understand all the differences between some things, but it's coming together. And still, I don't like Python.
Sunday, February 10, 2008
Post 17
I really don't like this Python GUI stuff, because I don't understand it as much as the GvR things we did. I don't really know why this is harder, but it is for some reason.
Tuesday, February 5, 2008
Post 16
Making my image is really irritating, but I finally have my idea, so that should be good. From here on, it has been sort of uncertain as to what we will do in the next few days. When we were doing GvR, we knew what the next step was.

Post 15
Today I learned more about Python. We finally completed GvR, and all its bothers with it. It was fun, but it also gave me a mega-headache. Crowded maze will follow in a blog right after this. That is another thing that irritates me.
Sunday, February 3, 2008
Post 14
Today, the crowed maze really had me fooled. Mr. Whittaker, in all his glorious generosity, imparted to the class how to solve it. I dont really understand what's going on though.
Thursday, January 31, 2008
Post 13
My program for step 17 is still plaguing me, because it won't work with walls of different dimension. I just can't find a way to solve it, but i will eventually.

Post 11
Sometimes you don't know where someone will put your robot. The program is dependent on knowing this information, so you need to find a way to be certain of your starting position. I found a way to get to a location every time so that the program will work. Still, that's just the beginning.
Monday, January 28, 2008
Post 10
For some strange reason, I found step 14 easier than step 15. Step 14 is an "unknown" world, so it should be harder. But even so, writing that program was easier than the writing the one for step 15. I didn't really get it, but I'm going to go over it again.
Post 9
Even though I missed class today, I had someone explain what I missed. My field trip was fun, but it was nothing compared to Computer Programming...:p. To me, algorithms seem like a complex but efficient way of writing programs for unknown worlds. This is helpful, because in real life, we do not always know all the details. A properly written algorithm can get around this problem.

Post 8
I really get what the tutorial means when it says Python is really picky about code. It's so annoying when I make a mistake, but at least I'm learning to be more careful. I don't really like to do all the checking.
Wednesday, January 23, 2008
Post 7
I'm a little confused about the "do" and "while" statements, but it is clearing up bit by bit. Its a bit amusing that Guido keeps "learning" new things. I also have to keep reminding myself to be more and more careful with my codes, because there are more and more potential mistakes.
Tuesday, January 22, 2008
Post 6
Now I can shorten the programming code dramatically using the "do" command, which makes the code much more neat and easy to keep track of. I think that its kind of funny that Guido is a robot, but he has parents and wants to dance and all that.
Monday, January 21, 2008
Post 5
Today I learned that programming shortcuts can be very beneficial and efficient, but it is quite tricky. I kept having to debug my shortcut commands, but I got it eventually. Its kind of difficult, but it is satisfying to get it right.
Sunday, January 20, 2008
Post 4
I am learning how do more things with the Guido program, but the most interesting one is to teach the robot how to do more things. It is kind of complicated, but I'm getting used to being more careful.
Wednesday, January 16, 2008
Post 3
Today, I learned many more things, but most importantly, I am starting to understand how the GVR program works. I can now use beepers, turn, and create walls. I am starting to enjoy using the GVR programming.
Monday, January 14, 2008
GVR Post
We learned about worlds, programs, and files today. We used these to control a robot called Guido van Robot. I found it a bit complicated, but I think I understand it better now.

Chapter 1 Post
Today, I learned that there are natural and formal languages. People use natural languages for everyday conversations. However, you use formal languages when programming. Natural languages are more ambiguous than formal languages. Formal languages are better suited for programming, because they are very precise and accurate.
